about
When Cody Cloud named his band VEHICLES back in 2006, it wasn’t a reference to transportation - rather transformation.
VEHICLES was born out of the idea that many voices can come together to create transformational emotional experiences and connections, and songs are the vehicles that bring musicians, friends and family together.
With the upcoming release of the new album Belief In Habits, VEHICLES is set to release two years of pandemic frustration as well. The album is full of isolation, pain and uncertainty while attempting to make peace with past demons and gazing at the future through the eyes of a painter.
lyrics
I thought you wanted fun
I thought that’s why we’re here
But nothing’s fun forever
Just a couple times a year
We’ve been waiting forever
Thrills ahead to forget
Spinning too long on a tether
On the verge of throwing a fit
Give to me, your healing
Every time you should’ve walked away
Sing to me, when I’m screaming
Should have left, when you were ahead?
All these signs and warning
All these men of means
These machines have all been warming
They’ve been trying to fill your needs
The line it just gets longer
Evolutionary needs
When are these pills going to kick in
It’s like automatic repeat
Give to me, your healing
Every time you should’ve walked away
Sing to me, when I’m screaming
Should have left, when you were ahead?
