If Cheap Trick shared a smoke (or a fag) with The Cars and talked about pissed off ex-girlfriends, the bouncing melodies of The Fags is what would be spinning on the jukebox. It doesn’t matter what you say about their name; this is about writing songs that will stand the test of time. Like a quick one-two punch to the shoulder, The Fags pummel through high octane power pop that crunches and spites with hook-laden lyrics and energy. The power trio has come to represent something classic and The Fags epitomize it all – rousing volatile songs with a commanding live intensity. John Speck (vocals / guitar) and Jimmy Paluzzi (drums / vocals) previously held court in the national band Hoarse and Jimmy also pounded skins for the gold selling band Sponge. Now with the addition of producer Tim Patalan (bass / vocals), The Fags have come full circle as a complete music making entity of confidence and strength.
