Calhoun's latest album Football Night in America was concocted in a shack in rural New, Mexico. The band headed to the woods with 4 skeletons and that was essentially it. After 6 hours of fruitless jamming,(Calhoun is not a jamming band - in fact when called to jam, they may be worse than your band in high school that finished 4th in the talent show) the bassist went outside to find a deer and the singer ran up from the basement and started plugging away at something that would be called "Georgia" - Sometimes dancing with the one that almost brought you is like running a tie at the railroad tracks. 3 days later, the band rolled down the hill with 12 tunes in the sack and headed to Shreveport, Louisiana to record with Chris Bell (Don Henley, Peter Gabriel, Erykah Badu) engineering.

They laid down almost all the basic tracks LIVE-a first for this group, as stated earlier, the music equivalent of a tic tac toe playing chicken. With the foundation of a Trump higher institution of learning laid down, it was icing time! The vocals were done in a sophisticated layering process, layering one bottle of red wine on top of another bottle of slightly less expensive red wine, in Shreveport and Baton Rouge.

On to the finals!-the band asked Jordan Richardson (Ben Harper) at Electric Barryland to record additional guitars and then ultimately to mix - he agrees! the record is finished and sounds better than it should, mission accomplished.

The band would like to thank the Stray Cat and the Remington Hotel for keeping the gears greased during this very emotional time.
